Sparrows & Starlings

Bird control

Although sparrows and starlings can be a nuisance their population numbers are on the decline and so both house sparrows and starlings are protected by the Wildlife and Countryside Act which is enforced by Natural England.

Both of these birds flock in high numbers and so their droppings and volume can become an issue. If their presence in your premises gets too much we can advise you and, if necessary, request permission from Natural England to intervene on your behalf.

Do not interfere with house sparrows or starlings yourself – it is an offence to kill, injure or interfere with wild birds.
