Cleankill Pest Control was named ‘Green Business of the Year’ at the 2017 Gatwick Diamond Business Awards on 16th March 2017. The award, sponsored by Crawley Borough Council, was presented to the company that exhibited best overall environmental management and provided the most outstanding eco-service.
Last year I wrote about how important it is to take part in business awards. In my blog, “It’s taking part that is important” The Croydon Business Excellence Awards 2015, I told you the tale of how we were shortlisted for five awards, but in the end we won nothing. As I said at the time, it isn’t the winning but the taking part, that matters.
Surrey based pest control company Cleankill Pest Control has been named ‘Best Business for Staff Training and Development’ and ‘Best Green Business’ at the 2016 Croydon Business Excellence Awards.
As a pest controller with over 35 years’ experience, I am pretty used to stepping into unknown environments. Customer service is at the heart of the company’s business strategy and so it is particularly heartening that we have been shortlisted, against stiff competition, in the category for ‘Customer Delight’ - sponsored by Storm Creative.
Managing Director Paul Bates said: “Our inclusion in the final three for this category shows that our expertise and a strong customer-based ethos set us apart from many other companies.
Last Thursday we all attended the annual Gala Dinner for the Croydon Business Excellence Awards. When a company covers as large an area as ours it is rare for us to all be in the same place at the same time, so it was nice to be together. It is also nice to have an excuse to put on your glad rags and enjoy a bit of socialising.
It is always lovely to get recognition for your hard work and today Chris Davis, Service and Technical Manager, received a lovely letter from the House of Commons.
Maria Caulfield, Conservative MP for Lewes, was writing to congratulate Chris on his success at the inaurgural Lewes and Wealden Business Awards, last month.
At these awards, Chris was delighted to be named Employee of the Year, sponsored by Hastings Direct.
