We have recently heard of dead dolphins landing up on our beaches, at Saltdean and Brighton. The rough seas and wind have obviously got something to do with this.
Last weekend in Shoreham, there was a rare visitor, probably blown off course. A Glaucous Gull, was seen hanging around the fish shop, in Aldrington Basin. The Glaucous Gull has the largest numbers in Scotland and Iceland. They are much larger than the Herring Gull, bulkier, with a fiercer expression!!
